Trend Filtered by ATR

The system uses two Moving Averages, a fast and slow one, to determine the market trend. The ATR indicator works as a filter, looking for higher volatility trends.

Trading Logic

Buy

When the fast MA is above the slow one, the EA will open a Buy order after a cross of the ATR indicator to the value set in the input parameter "ATR Filter Value".

Sell

When the slow MA is above the fast one, the EA will open a Sell order after a cross of the ATR indicator to the value set in the input parameter "ATR Filter Value".

You can use the parameter "Number of previous bars below ATR filter" to determine the number of previous bars the ATR value should be below the trigger level.

Close

The EA has six options to close the open orders. All of them available to be used at the same time or to be disabled independently:

  • Stop Loss
  • Take Profit
  • Trailing Stop
  • Break-even
  • Opposite Order Signal
